Welsh Cheese & Wine Evening in our Taffs Well Shop – Friday February 9th 2024
Our Cheese & Wine evenings are intimate, informal events held in our Taffs Well cheese shop, just outside Cardiff. These are ticketed evenings for a maximum of 16 people, hosted by Welsh Cheese Company owner Tom Pinder. Tom will select twelve Welsh cheeses for the evening, paired with four different wines. He will talk you through each of the cheeses, giving background about the cheesemaker and the way each cheese is made.
This will be followed by a bottomless cheeseboard of other Welsh favourites, along with Welsh crackers and chutneys, and a fun cheesy quiz. There’s going to be a lot of cheese!
These evenings were first started in the middle of 2023 and they’ve proved a real hit. Every event so far has been quick to sell out.
The shop is in Taffs Well village on the northern edge of Cardiff, just off the M4 and the A470. It’s just a few minutes walk from Taffs Well train station, and trains and buses run back into Cardiff run late into the evening. There is also plenty of free parking at the shop and you’re welcome to leave your car parked outside the shop to pick up the following day.
