Tysul is a soft and subtle blue-veined cheese handmade by Mark Jones in Llandysul, Ceredigion. This brand new cheese is mellow and creamy with a slight sweetness.
Mark makes his cheese in small batches using fresh local milk. His ethos is to create the finest artisan cheeses using techniques steeped in history and tradition. Although Tysul is a very new cheese Mark has been working in the artisan cheese industry for many years, and currently works to support other aspiring cheesemakers at Food Centre Wales in Horeb.
Tysul has recently been picking up a really impressive number of awards, including a Gold at the International Cheese Awards in Italy in October 2019.
