A mature, creamy Cheddar blended with onion, fresh chives and shallots, Tintern cheese is mouthwatering and irresistibly moreish. Instantly recognisable with its green wax coating, it takes its name from the village of Tintern on the river Wye. Its onion tang means it’s perfect as part of a ploughman’s lunch.
Previously made by Abergavenny Fine Foods in mid-Wales, this creamy cheddar cheese continues to be made in Wales with Welsh produce and blended with additional ingredients to the same recipe we all know and love just across the border. As it has become a well-loved staple of the cheeseboard, we will continue to stock this great cheese.
Tintern is made in 150g and 1.5kg waxed wheels, so if you order 1.5kg you will receive a whole wheel.
