Here at The Welsh Cheese Company, the only Christmas Cake that makes the grade is one entirely made of cheese; Beautiful artisan Welsh Cheese! Perfect for the reunited Christmas Dinner we’ve all been waiting for, The Cheese Christmas Cake is the perfect centrepiece for bringing people together. Eat cheese and be merry!

The bottom tier is a 1.2kg Cenarth Brie, a French-style classic from Caws Cenarth. The second layer is Caerfai Caerffili, a traditional, organic hand-made Caerffili made by Linda Evans on her farm near St Davids. The top two tiers are comprised of a 200g Perl Las blue and a 150g Black Sheep, a delicate, creamy, wax-covered ewe’s milk cheese from West Wales. The Gower cheese cake is a perfect combination of Welsh favourites and is sure to delight your guests.

The Cheese Christmas Cake

  • Cenarth Brie 1.2kg
    This traditional, organic, French-style Brie from Caws Cenarth has a distinctive and well-rounded mushroomy flavour which grows with age. It has a creamy white interior synonymous with a classic Brie, along with a delightfully gooey centre.
  • Caerfai Caerffili 550g
    Caerfai Caerffili is a traditional organic Welsh Caerffili made at Caerfai Farm, just south of St David’s, Pembrokeshire. The cheese is made from cows specifically chosen for of the quality of milk they produce,  including Norwegian Red, Brown Swiss and Montbéliarde.
  • Perl Las 200g
    Perl Las, meaning ‘Blue Pearl’ in Welsh, is a superb organic blue cheese made by Caws Cenarth in Carmarthenshire. This delicious, golden, veiny cheese has become one of the most famous and highly regarded cheeses in Wales. It is delicately salty and creamy with a lingering blue aftertaste.
  • Black Sheep 150g
    Black Sheep, a firm ewes’ milk cheese coated in a wax truckle, is one of the latest varieties created by Caws Cenarth. It is deliciously creamy with a subtle nutty tang, flavours that have already earned it Gold at The Royal Welsh Show in 2019.

*Some of these truckles will occasionally be out of season or out of stock. When this is the case we will replace them with something as similar as possible.
