Powis Cheese Wedding Cake
- Teifi Natural 4kg
Teifi Natural is a raw milk Gouda-style cheese made by John Savage-Onstwedder at Caws Teifi in Ceredigion. It has a mellow, almost sweet flavour and a dense, smooth texture.
- Gorwydd Caerphilly 2kg
Gorwydd is a natural-rinded Caerphilly which was originally made near Llanddewi Brefi in the Teifi Valley by Maugan and Todd Trethowan, but is now made just across the border in North Somerset. Gorwydd has a firm, lemony, lactic core and a creamy, more savoury layer just beneath the rind – known as the ‘breakdown’.
- Blue Wenallt 500g
Blue Wenallt is a new cheese developed by Hannah Turner from Brooke’s Dairy in the Wye Valley. Hannah uses milk from her family farm’s herd of Jersey cows to make this rich, creamy blue, which puts us in mind of a Welsh Gorgonzola.
- Golden Cenarth 200g
Golden Cenarth is a soft, rind-washed cheese with a string of awards to its name, including Best British Semi-Soft Cheese in 2016 and Supreme Champion at the British Cheese Awards 2010.
*Some of these truckles may occasionally be out of season or out of stock. When this is the case we will replace them with something as similar as possible.
*All weights are approximate as these cheeses are all hand made so all truckles are slightly different.
All orders are sent out in our attractive recyclable gift boxes, with all cheese wrapped in our wool-based biodegradable insulation which will keep your cheese chilled and well-protected during its journey.
