This selection really shows off the wonderful range of cheeses made by our Welsh artisan cheesemakers. The eight cheeses making up the collection include many Welsh classics, such as Perl Las and Celtic Promise, as well as some less well known but equally magnificent cheeses. This cheeseboard is a perfect pick for a cheese and wine evening, or any other gathering of cheese lovers! It weighs in at over 2kg and will comfortably feed 15 – 20 people.

  • Perl Las Blue 450g
    Perl Las is a superb Welsh blue cheese made by Carwyn Adams at Caws Cenarth in Carmarthenshire. This delicious golden cheese has been a Gold Medal Winner at the World Cheese Awards.
  • Celtic Promise 550g
    Celtic Promise is a raw-milk washed-rind cheese made by John Savage-Onstwedder on his organic family farm in the Teifi Valley. It has a delicate buttery texture and a distinctively pungent aroma.
  • Perl Wen 200g
    One of Caws Cenarth’s best loved cheeses, Perl Wen is a glorious and unique cross between a traditional Brie and a Caerffili.
  • Teifi Natural 200g
    Teifi Natural is an organic raw-milk Gouda-style cheese made by Caws Teifi in Ceredigion. It has a mellow, almost sweet flavour and a dense, smooth texture.
  • Mature Cerwyn 200g
    This is a more complex, flavourful version of Pant Mawr Cheeses’ Caws Cerwyn. A tender cows’ milk cheese, it is aged for five to six months to develop a rounded, nutty flavour and a smooth, velvety consistency.
  • Thelma Caerffili 180g
    Cenarth’s Thelma Caerffili is a more mature version of their traditional Caerffili. It has a loose and slightly crumbly texture with a delicate lemony flavour.
  • Tsyilio 180g
    This beautiful goats’ cheese is made using milk from a mixed herd of Saanan, Toggenburg and Alpine goats at Cors yr Odyn farm at Dulas on Anglesey. Light and fresh, it’s goats’ milk cheese at its best.
  • Pwll Mawr Smoked 180g
    This smoky Cheddar is matured at the bottom of the mine shaft at Big Pit, a coal mine-turned visitor attraction near the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon and then slowly smoked over oak chippings.
