Jones’ Cheese Company

Jones’ Cheese Company is run by Mark Jones in Llandusyl, Ceredigion. Mark has many years of experience in cheesemaking, having worked at both Carmarthenshire Cheese and Caws Cenarth, but this is his first venture into running his own business.

Mark makes a fantastic blue cheese called Tysul Blue, but over the past couple of years he has channelled his expertise into helping other new cheesemakers through his work as a Food Technologist at Food Centre Wales in Horeb, West Wales. He has supported the work of many of the new producers who have made use of that fantastic facility, including Trefaldwyn Cheese, Pembrokeshire Goats, Brooke’s Dairy, Trefan Dairy and Caws Penhelyg. We hope that he’ll return to making Tysul Blue in the near future, but in the meantime we can recommend the cheeses of all of the above producers that Mark has helped with.
