Ordering and delivery dates for Christmas

Christmas is always our busiest time of year, but this year we find ourselves busier than ever. We’re very grateful for every order that we receive, and we’ve been bowled over by the support we’ve been shown over the past few months, but this Christmas is going to be a significant logistical challenge for us as we’ll be dealing with more orders than ever before. In fact in the first 3 weeks of December we’ll be dealing with around 4 times more orders than we did in the whole of 2019!

We’re relishing the challenge and we’re well prepared (we think!) but we’re also expecting the couriers to be extremely busy, which may result in occasional delays on their very busiest days. With that in mind we’d like to advise all customers to keep the following information in mind:

  • Order early to avoid disappointment.

We anticipate that we’ll have to turn off the busiest days once the number of orders get to a point where we think we might not be able to cope.

  • Select a delivery date that is as early in December as possible.

The vast majority of our cheeses will have expiry dates past Christmas from December 5th, and we can guarantee that all deliveries past December 10th will have expiry dates well past the 25th.

We’d like to sincerely thank all customers for their support throughout 2020. The orders we’ve received have allowed us to take on extra staff (mainly unemployed musicians, like Tom was when he started the business) and additional premises. In turn we’ve been able to buy significantly more cheese from all of our small producers, which in many cases has helped to make up for the huge drop off they saw in orders from the hospitality sector.

Every order makes a real difference, both for us and for our producers, so thank you very much for your support. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
