My Day Of Judging At The International Cheese Awards

Last week I had the great pleasure and privilege of being a judge at the International Cheese Awards in Stafford. It was a fantastic day, judging alongside cheese experts from around the world. It was a chance to catch up with some of our Welsh cheesemakers too, including Susan from Blaenafon Cheddar Company, Carwyn from Caws Cenarth, Dawid from Caws Teifi and Glenn from Trefaldwyn (in the photo above).

It was wonderful to see so many Welsh cheeses amongst the winners. The Blaenafon Cheddar Company did particularly well, picking up several awards including a Gold for their Oak Smoked Pwll Mawr. All in all it was a lovely day celebrating exceptional cheesemakers and world-class cheeses.
